Mariann and putt are the channel's managers. They are from Norway and married to each other. They are both school teachers in real life.

This is putt's story:  We got internet in March 1997 and happened to download mIRC. We were both newbies and didn't know much about computers. We experienced that  there were lotsa "teachers" out there to help us. I guess we can say that we learnt a lot about mIRC and puters of other people online. mIRC turned out to be a great program for the both of us.

By joining different channels on mIRC, we also met a lot of people from all over the world. People that we today look upon as  really good friends! Some of them we actually have met in real life too.

Among many other "nicks" we also met nitrogen, now known as Elektra^. Just for fun we "founded" our own channel which we called #ergo. (ergo is latin and means therefore.) No X in there by that time. But people started to join #ergo, and Elektra^ got the idea: Why not register the channel? Well, by this time we had lotsa regulars that wanted to support us. And it didn't take too long before we had a new "regular", X, to watch over the channel.
